      Enhancements to Trace Formatting in Voltaiq V2

      We’re introducing exciting updates to trace formatting to make your data visualization and analysis more efficient.

      Key Changes and Features

      1. Improved Grouping and Formatting Options:

        • Enhanced Group-By Functionality:

          • Users can group traces easily and apply consistent formatting to entire groups or individual traces within a group.
          • Navigate up and down the trace hierarchy to customize formatting as needed.

        • Streamlined Statistical Trace Management:

          • Turn statistical traces, like envelopes or calculated traces, on or off directly from the Formatting Tab without affecting group functionality.
          • This simplifies workflows for users who primarily rely on group-by functionalities and want to minimize distractions from unnecessary statistical traces.

      2. Simplified User Interface for Trace Selection:

        • Redesigned trace selection panel with intuitive selectors to help you find and customize the trace you need—quickly and efficiently.
        • Reduced scrolling: all key trace options are now easily accessible within a single view.

      3. Flexible Trace Formatting:

        • Apply formatting to individual traces or entire groups with precision:
          • Format statistical traces and their envelopes separately.
          • Highlight specific traces without impacting others in the group.
        • These updates give you greater control over how you present and analyze your data.

      4. Dynamic Dropdown Options:

        • Depending on whether statistical traces are enabled, the dropdown menu adjusts to provide tailored options:
          • Turn envelopes on or off.
          • Show or hide individual traces.
          • Customize statistical traces independently from other group members.

      How It Works

      1. Accessing the Formatting Tab:

        • Navigate to the Formatting Tab within a chart.
        • Use the new intuitive selectors to choose a trace or group for formatting.

      2. Managing Statistical Traces:

        • Turn statistical traces on or off without disrupting the group hierarchy.
        • Modify statistical traces and envelopes independently for enhanced control over your data visualization.

      3. Applying Group-Wide Formatting:

        • Select a group and apply formatting to all traces within the group simultaneously.
        • Drill down to individual traces within the group to apply unique formatting if needed.

      4. Customizing Individual Traces:

        • Highlight specific traces, format them differently, or call them out in your analysis without impacting the rest of the group.
