Harmonized time-series data are time-series values normalized across different types of test hardware data formats in order to provide apples-to-apples comparison.
Voltaiq harmonization logic unifies sign convention and accounts for
differences in tabulations of capacity and energy across platforms, including resets (or lack thereof) between test program steps and cycles.
Harmonized Time-Series Data
Test Time
● Units: Hours (h)
● Default axis type: Time
● Description/notes: Elapsed time since the test began.
Timestamp
● Units: Datetime (mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss)
● Default axis type: Timestamp
● Description/notes: Timestamp of individual datapoint. Displayed in local time for the
Voltaiq end-user’s location.
Datapoint Number
● Units: Number
● Default axis type: Datapoint Number
● Description/notes: Numerical index of individual datapoint as recorded by the test
equipment. For example, if the test was programmed to begin the datapoint
counter at a value greater than 1 (or 0), as might be the case with the continuation
of a previous test, this field will reflect the “raw” datapoint number value recorded
by the tester.
Datapoint Ordinal
● Units: Number
● Default axis type: Datapoint Ordinal
● Description/notes: Numerical index of individual datapoint , starting from 0 and
counting up. Note that this data series always starts at 0 at the beginning of the test,
regardless of the datapoint number recorded by the tester at the beginning of the
test.
Cycle Number
● Units: Number
● Default axis type: Cycle Number
● Description/notes: Cycle during which the datapoint was written.
Current
● Units: Amperes (A)
● Default axis type: Current
● Description/notes: Instantaneous current. By sign convention, Current > 0 during
charge and Current < 0 during discharge.
Potential
● Units: Volts (V)
● Default axis type: Potential
● Description/notes: Instantaneous potential.
Step Index
● Units: Number
● Default axis type: Step Index
● Description/notes: Step index in the test program.
Step Time
● Units: Hours (h)
● Default axis type: Time
● Description/notes: Elapsed time since the current test step began.
Charge Capacity
● Units: Amp-hours (Ah)
● Default axis type: Capacity
● Description/notes: Running total of charge capacity for current cycle.
Discharge Capacity
● Units: Amp-hours (Ah)
● Default axis type: Capacity
● Description/notes: Running total of discharge capacity for current cycle.
Charge Energy
● Units: Watt-hours (Wh)
● Default axis type: Energy
● Description/notes: Running total of charge energy for current cycle.
Discharge Energy
● Units: Watt-hours (Wh)
● Default axis type: Energy
● Description/notes: Running total of discharge energy for current cycle.
Device Temperature
● Units: Celsius (°C)
● Default axis type: Temperature
● Description/notes: Instantaneous device temperature. Note: this currently needs to
be configured with customer success in order to show up as desired, as it is not a
standard trace for most tester platforms.
Humidity
● Units: Percent (%)
● Default axis type: Humidity
● Description/notes: Instantaneous humidity. Note: this currently needs to be
configured with customer success in order to show up as desired, as it is not a
standard trace for most tester platforms.
Pressure
● Units: kilopascal (kPa)
● Default axis type: Pressure
● Description/notes: Instantaneous pressure. Note: this currently needs to be
configured with customer success in order to show up as desired, as it is not a
standard trace for most tester platforms.
