Battery programs are increasingly expected to adopt AI. However, most "AI strategies" stall at proof-of-concept because the underlying data is fragmented and battery domain expertise is difficult to encode in generic tools. In practice, the bottleneck is rarely the AI itself, but the foundation it sits on. Voltaiq AI, now available in the platform, addresses both directly.
What Voltaiq AI does
Voltaiq AI is a natural-language interface to the data already in the Voltaiq platform. Test records, build data, metadata, and per-cycle metrics are all accessible through plain-English prompts. Analyses, plots, and tabular outputs can be generated in seconds.
Capabilities available today include:
- Electrochemical analysis: dQ/dV with custom voltage windows, DCIR from arbitrary pulse definitions, pulse analyses, correlation analyses
- End-of-life prediction: ranking of candidates from early-cycle data, enabling earlier identification of underperformers
- DOE planning: design of experiments around chemistry, formulation, or operating conditions, with or without a loaded dataset
- Root-cause analysis: correlation of anomalies to upstream lot, line, shift, supplier, or process variables
- Hypothesis testing: pressure testing an interpretation against the data and the literature
- Identifying interesting observations or results that may have been missed manually

Battery domain expertise is built into the platform, so analyses align with established best practices by default. Conventions specific to a program, such as end-of-life thresholds, reference-cycle definitions, or team-specific procedures, can be set via system prompts and applied consistently.
